I fixed the game's resolution for wide monitors, maybe it hid them somehow. But I don't think so.

Just took the game down and reinstalled it. Immediately upon entering and the bloody palace opened and Virgil.

Ah well it happens and it usually helps to check the files, but it's also possible, it's just sometimes from some crazy reason some files may not be downloaded, if not all games, then some certainly do
