Where to find a Cougar? (Red Dead Redemption 2)

Hello! Who knows for sure - is it possible to find the Panther in the game? I have heard that there are legendary Pantera and it appears only after passing all tests of the hunter.

Now can usual to meet? Or is it only one?
Just there's a gear and it says that the skin of a Panther, omitting legendary...
