Need a specialist on monitors
... and not only. The problem probably not in it.In short this thing. Vertical (slightly inclined to the right, there is a slightly diagonal) stripes. Transparent. Barely noticeable. It would seem simple, but no. So: this problem is present only in TWO games I ever ran. This Assassin's Creed: Origins and Oddysey. It is in these two games. On top of these strips to see is not as easy as it may seem. But if the monitor is set to 100% brightness and 50% contrast (not for the scrutiny, and just as it is for other purposes) they can be seen almost with the naked eye. Perhaps one who doesn't know about them - will notice immediately. Especially noticeable on dark blue backgrounds. For example, surfacing from the depths of the water up. Clearly visible the ripple strips. In Oddysey. And in Origins were well visible in dark places. Those where literally the whole screen is black. And helped to get rid of them - turn off smoothing. In Oddysey is not helping, if only a little bit makes them less noticeable (but not exactly).
Spoilerage from the topic, let me just say that I am looking for people who have the same problem and somehow not really found. So can coincide that those whom I interviewed do not see them and still a problem with the game itself (engine probably), and maybe it's purely my problem.
During all this time, changed the video card. The problem has not disappeared. The config is in the profile. Monitor... Never complaints of it was not. I tried to connect via another port, another cable. Tried plugging the monitor directly into the outlet in the wall. Also this is important: when recording video from the screen - strip is visible. On video. As far as I can tell, this eliminates the malfunction monitor ? It may be wrong. A fragment can record, if necessary. Let me just say that a little loss of quality when recording, these bands can be seen slightly worse, but still to see them really. Oh yeah. Monitor: SAMSUNG S27C650

I'm not planning to take an expensive monitor. But 144 will be less than 20K in decent. Yes, and I almost never play in anything. And 60 enough. What do you think about this here?

Good monitor, no flicker (very well!) but.... you graphics card is also going to change?
It supports Free Sync is AMD ! From nvidia - G-Sync - choose a monitor that supports this technology, because you have a map 1060

Yes, this AMD prisons shoved everywhere. He will not disturb me? If not - hell with it. GSync I don't really need. I don't even know why he basically needed. Type embedded in the monitor of the rifle?
And Cho say? Probably the cheapest of the 144. Never sat on a TN + film matrix. It is pathetic how after PLS?

Free Sync is AMD technology, its counterpart from Nvidia - G-Sync. If you are interested in the subtleties -Google ;) . Bulk articles.

not everywhere, but 50: 50. Manufacturers rivet its production with the support of both technologies. It is necessary to look on models.
If you're going to buy a new monitor, I can just pick up.

Cho at the expense of the second option?

Hmm... the taste and color. I sit on a TN matrix, since the LCD monitors... the legendary samsung 2233rz 120 Hz ;) so far ... have not regretted nearly a Grand on a 240 Hz TN - but games that require :D
About whether you're comfortable in the above matrix can not say anything. This individually.. you have to sit in front of this (by the way to CORRECTLY configure the monitor!.... because the factory settings tend to be spread.. even fancy asush). To watch a couple of movies, play different games (at least nimble shooter or RPG).
Now, about Moose on 144. The monitor is very beneficial in terms of quality/price. Color reproduction of Elks of this type is worse than comparable Samsung or ASUS. But if you compare in the game, the difference between them and twice as expensive similar ASUS almost imperceptibly. It terms of games. Otherwise, sorry, I can not compare, because 10-15% of the time on the computer using only the browser, office applications, and a couple of utilities, and all the remaining time focused exclusively on games.
PS AOC ,more like a Moose on 144 Hertz used almost all summer at work. From him less tired eyes than 75 Hz LG with IPS matrix!
And.. by the way, he's at frequencies up TO 100 - no frame skipping.

Yes, I also googled that 144 - any defective. Is there then meaning to take it? Or all the high frequency skipped frames - the norm? Type 100 that's the rules or something? =)
Alex Hawk
there are honest 144, but such monitors are expensive. Look at Asus ROG Strix XG258Q, ASUS ROG STRIX XG27VQ 27 or Acer XB241H . They honestly fulfill its high price
At the expense of frame-skip the cheap models.... do not threaten, if you don't have top-end graphics card, because the mainstream is just not able to squeeze out of modern games above 60-70 ;)
