Question about engraving (Assassin's Creed: Odyssey)

The question is when they kill on the battlefield(fighting over territory) Spartans/the afintsam need a weapon for example sword, so the number of dead is not added in the test engraving is not dependent on weapons ,all right?is this normal?)
