Waste of time and a bunch of hemorrhoids,especially with the installation of any multi-mods where a lot of folders and advanced features,NMM makes it one-click you and choose what options to include,it is enough to put one check mark,and likewise with the removal,everything is done in one click,no need to climb on folders and remember where you put.
If I all of your 170 mods set manually I would kill myself.

I recommend to use Mod Organizer to install 2 mods for Fallout 4, Skyrim, Skyrim SE, Oblivion, Fallout3, Fallout NV.
