Maybe there are some unofficial patches? You can simply register in the console:
XX003B8E / XX003B8B- (select mother serana in the console) One of these ID is the identifier Valerie. Where XX number location dawnguard DLC in the download list
moveto player (moves it to you). Can just get to the point, the direction of the mother and teleport.
