In General, do not load Superspeedway and Daytona. Superspeedway and hangs on the download, and Daytona before the race. Because of this, cannot pass a and b-spec. Play the disk, the data on the hard drive is NOT loaded. First guess is that the problem is in the drive itself, maybe some damage, but not visually seen. Please do what you can.
