The multiplier in the arena (Darksiders: Genesis)

Tell me - what gives and where does the multiplier in the arena (in the middle in the top)? Nowhere to be found

get more points for killed mobs, mostly assigned to the room. But in the most recent Infinite room Multiplier grows from past stages.
