Surprised the combination of crisp graphics in some places and indistinct spots on the wings and flags instead of emblems. The surface texture of the planets was horrified - it .. was not, in fact. I'll try to follow the advice given here.

I want to Express my appreciation your way with the replacement of the file works. Textures acquired clarity, the black ground is missing.
however ,I want to play on ultra, but the game crashes when loading((((((((((((((((((((((
I got rid of the soap texture in version 1.34 -
1. deleted the SHADERCACHE folder from the folder GAMEDATA
2. in TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS file (located in the folder Binaries/SETTINGS/) changed this parameter (Property name=TexturePageSizeKb value=64) to (Property name=TexturePageSizeKb value=16384), you can put fewer 8192;4096;2048;1024;512
3. launched the game and the textures of the planets become normal, though plastilinovye texture appearance of the aliens is not affected...
SOLVED: Need to remove video card driver and then to reinstall them on the new one. Thank you steam discussions!
If someone is a graphics card by AMD, then here's the solution: I got mine working.
I have Radeon R9 390 and updated to the newest driver (17.7.2) but just installing the newest driver didn't fix it. I had to download the AMD Clean Uninstall utility and use that to uninstall AMD Radeon graphics drivers, then reboot, then install the newest drivers fresh again, reboot again as usual, and now the game works great. A regular uninstall doesn't work - you have to do the clean uninstall.
