How much is a GB or TB the Internet???
How many TB is the Internet? At least approximately.I know that this number is constantly changing.Well then, how much Internet weighed in January 2016?It is impossible to accurately (or even approximately) to see how many weight Internet. Internet - the world wide web. Millions of devices connected to each other.
Lizo bytes
Eco bytes
Philo bytes.
pito bytes.
Is it above your TB. And mnoooogo....
As you know we live in a world of information. It is as though banal did not sound, but every day in the world something is happening. Thanks to the advent of computers, the information became the unit, and thanks to the Internet the opportunity to extend it a huge number around the world at the speed of light.
So, today I would like to tell you how much is available and not so available information is available in a free and not quite free access, or in other words how much weight Internet!
Perhaps I'll start with a little help. You probably know that early information is measured in bytes (in the beginning generally in bits. 1 byte=8 bits). Since the amount of information is constantly growing, and to measure anything in large numbers is not very convenient, use special prefixes which indicate the number of zeros after the unit e.g. 1 Kilobyte=1,000 bytes, 1 Megabyte=1,000,000 bytes, etc. You have probably heard of Gigabytes, Terabytes, maybe even Petabytes. In addition to the above, there are Exabytes, Zettabytes and Yottabytes. For simplicity we will translate all of the above refer to Gigabytes. And so
1 Terabyte= 1000 Gigabytes
1 Petabyte=1 000 000 GB
1 Exabyte= 1 000 000 000 (Billion) GB
1 Zettabytes = 1 000 000 000 000 (Trillion) GB
1 Yottabyte = 1 000 000 000 000 000 (Quadrillion) GB
In General, you appreciate the scale. Now back to the topic of the post. The amount of data stored on the Internet at the time of 2009, very close to the mark of 500 exabytes (500 billion Gigabytes). Such data leads research firm IDC, which conducted the study according to the order of EMC Corporation. According to analysts, a year and a half the amount of data will grow in 2 times. Analysts point out that the volume of stored information on the Internet doubles approximately every year and a half.
And so if we assume that this trend continued throughout this time(2009-2015) i.e. the amount of information on the Internet has doubled in 2 times every 1.5 years at the moment the total volume of all content on the Internet is 8 Zettabytes (although with the development of the Internet and increase the speed of data transfer, this number is likely several times more)!!! Or 8 000 000 000 000 (Trillion) Gigabytes!! You will agree an impressive number! (and if you remember the old legend that 80% of Internet is pornography and other not required content, it is possible to understand what was humanity all this time and why we still have not mastered the space:)) In General, what would you stronger feel the power of such amount of information all of these will translate Gigabytes to hours, namely in the video the biggest solution that there is today.
At the moment the highest resolution video has a size of 4096х3112 pixels is called 4K or UltraHD and 1 hour of video on average is about 30 Gigabytes of space on your hard drive! And so by not tricky calculations you can see that, to watch the video in this format with size 8 zettabytes you'll need not as much as... 30 441 400 years! Not this movie sucks! If you consider that the first Homo sapiens appeared around 200,000 years ago... we have accumulated so not bad information for these 200 000 years! But, unfortunately, of the 8 zettabytes of information can be useful not only to call the most. And it's... it's sad.
How do you know the exact figure?
Devices incredible number of every day connect new. Besides it is not unique (copied) content is too full.
watching it for the Internet
I think if you treat it as static, frozen in time with no backups and all subsidiary and only the content that is actually generated by a software algorithm when loading pages it is not too much. and empirically, we can assume that less than the amount of transmitted data for the year edokov in 2-3 times and estimates of the number of network petabytes it seems like it is.
As far as I understand probably no such number size dimensions what is the weight of the Internet
