Painting armour and clothing in a single game. (Mass Effect: Andromeda)

Choose a color - press spacebar. Everything works

And I have armor painted in red, although I want to, for example, purple paint =/ but as soon as I leave the item colors changed to red ( can not do anything...

Had to first to choose the color of clothing, and then to the shaman armor (patterns, colors) and confirm each action by pressing the space bar.
In the end - managed painting, Hooray.

Customization is very weak,patterns are generally very small,Tolley case in X-COM 2,so there really can be a huge number of options to do.
