Upgrade i3-i5 for 6100-6600
Have the opportunity to exchange your current i3-i5 for 6100-6600 (without To) with my fee of 5000 rubles. How do you think, is it worth it? Graphics card — GTX 1060.RambO_o
HA! Ambiguous. On the one hand, of course the 6600 would be better, especially for a corridor shooter, on the other, the open world has long been throws bream i5. It all started with krayzisa 3rd in 2013, but this is an isolated case, then the origin, the Witcher, watch dogs 2, battle 1 cartoon, new nfs, and a number of other innovations. Now go i7. i5, 4-core dripped, and with the advent of the 6-core i5 laid flowers.
I'd better prepare the Assembly on 6 cores Riesen 1600 or 8600.
But, if You are going to upgrade in the future, and wish even to sit, the replacement for the 6600 is very good, especially under 1060. I'd say scrap. Good there need 6700.
For good, to collect on more than 6 cores you need already. But the guys are going to pull

Thanks for the reply. Just if you do the Assembly on the new generation, and new motherboard, the opportunities I have, unfortunately, not yet. But exchange for a fee of 5,000 rubles seems attractive, but still decided to learn the opinions of others.

Yes, it needs a new mother + CPU. Especially if they think a coffee to collect, they are in short supply and quite expensive, i.e. build 8600k (17,000 rubles) + mother 7000 rubles. There are on Reisen, but there is a RAM issue.
Well, okay. For 1060 i5-6600 will be better. ALTHOUGH, I see that it 2 cores / 4 threads - meaning the i3. There is an increase to FPS, see for yourself if it was worth the extra charge:
Comparison
Look FPS. Duck for me, not really. The difference is small, and the exceptional games.

Yeah, the increase in performance is obvious. And already it feels like my 6100 restricts the graphics card in some titles, in the future, probably even worse.
Many years have passed, and the author reading his theme, with the new processor
have long realized that it is easier to buy new than to break up the old.
