In Gothic 1-3 and risen 1-3 also could never change equipment satellites, so for those who played the previous games from Piranha quite familiar with this approach. It seems there are certain skills that affect satellites. Also suspect that power satellites can grow as you complete their quest lines. And so it seems to be impossible to track. :(
