Q: can't save the game (not saved game progress).
A: Start the game with administrator rights.

Q: can't complete the mission the Roof of Flatbush. Of the three heroes, only Emmet clings to the rope, and the rest break down and die.
About: This bug is a known issue described many times in various forums (Steam in particular), which had been pending in the next patch. However, it is by no means all, i.e. as in the case of the disappearance of the characters through textures (in the previous game of the series), the error is somehow tied to the hardware incompatibility of certain components of a PC game.
There are a few conditional (temporary) solutions (some of them do not help everyone, unfortunately):
--- Temporarily set all graphic settings to minimum, the screen resolution is the minimum possible and (more importantly) aspect ratio 4:3;
--- In the last moment before the bug (before Emmett will repair the device, pulls the rope), to include co-op mode (two players game on one PC) - F2;
--- To transfer your save game on PC of a friend who does not have this bug; pass the mission the Roof of Flatbush; tell a friend Thank you!; to return the save game to your PC;
--- Try to refresh the game to version Update 2; if it does not help to wait for the patch Update 3;

In free mode, I noticed only two stable (repeatable) bug:
--- the mission of Construction site in bricksburg after repair of large speakers not included a dance to a fun song (and mode plot works perfectly); I had to replay several times, the script worked only on the third attempt;
--- the mission of Escape from cloud cuckoo land was stable, the game crashes in the same place - if you try (can't remember which character) go to the stern of the ship; but relegation was avoided just changing the character to another.
In free mode you can take any character (open and bought). Try to build up a platform with the help of Emmett and someone else.
Or, if we are talking about the pirated version of the game, and use pill FAiRLiGHT (FLT), it is very raw, flawed, because of her many spontaneous departures. Much more stable working Steam emulators RELOADED (RLD) and ALI213. 3DMGAME (3DM) for this game is not tested; I am the author (authors) cracks do not really trust (especially after the previous games in the LEGO series).

In pirated versions, in Steam-emulators, some repacker edit the configuration file ini, inserting their names ( instead of the name of the author of the crack ;) ) in the options PlayerName. So instead of folders RLD!, ALI213, 3DMGAME can meet Chuvak, Fenix, etc.

Ported the game simultaneously on a bunch of different platforms. In such circumstances, it is difficult to avoid compatibility issues that manifested in the individual configurations. But many players no problems: no crashes, no suicide heroes on the rooftops of Flatbush...
The emergence of new updates (patches) depends on the number of calls to tech support problems. The developers themselves (without such references) will not do anything.

The first thing I would do is to looked in the Windows Logs. Bug reports often allow you to define a sore spot. If you would like I can suggest how to use these Logs.
Causes of crashes may be different (both software and hardware).
