Does not start without Internet (Battlefield 2)

Hi all. Long faced with this problem - do not run neither the original nor the modification included without Internet. That is just the task process hangs, which is 9 meters operatives and took it all, nothing else happens. And as soon as include the Internet, this process takes from 2 gig, loads a little percent of all runs. When I was able to fix it , but no amount of trying now - nothing helps. Tell me what it is and how to fix it forever?
