A sudden drop of FPS during conversations (Dragon Age 2)
Greetings from 2020. I pass now Dragon Age 2, and was faced with the problem of a sharp drop in fps in the dialogues between the characters. The computer at me not ancient, especially for this game. Rizen 7 2700x 4100, 32 gb 3200 RAM , GTX 1080 ti, Monique 32 144 2560x1440. All pogruzochno in moderation and well chilled(frequency not reset). There is a version of the game on the SSD and on the hard. It is also worth 2 systems and 7ka 10kA. On both is the same. During the game there are no lags and brakes, but once is 1/3 or 2/3 of the game as the beginning of a strange fps drop from 144 to 2, and the long dialogue in a couple of minutes with a couple of answers turns into a slideshow as long as eternity. All anything, skip dialogs solves this problem (if you start to skipwith from the beginning of the dialogue and the whole proskipat), but I'm so not in the plot are not able to grasp neither the Persians to penetrate. (for me it's the lion's share of enjoyment from the game)I tried and license and pirates (different Repack), with mods and without, at all directech, on max and on minimum salary, with plane and without, a clean version and patched to 1.03 and 1.04, with the included anisotrophy and without, changed to Hertz Monica 60, reset the overclocks to default. In General, what I just tried, all the same. Please, I beg you, help me. I looked, but found no solution to this problem. If only I have one it originated. (I wrote characteristics of the computer, only in order to give a complete picture of the problem)

And where does anisotropy? Rather, the problem is vertical sync. Many older games do not support 144 Hertz, you need to try to povklyuchat and disable the plane, if not help to reduce the frequency to 60 Hz and try again to power on\off Verdasco.

With plane and without. The result is the same. But thank you so much that he wrote. I'm just desperate.

1) the classics: try to install an older version of the display driver (first edition)
For Win7 419.67 (https://www.nvidia.ru/download/driverResults.aspx/145553/ru).
For Win10 430.60 (https://www.nvidia.ru/download/driverResults.aspx/148920/ru).
Do a clean install with the driver installation, you can put like a tick.
2) For Win10: Launch the task Manager. Start the game and exit. In task Manager go to the tab Details --- there to find the process running the game --- right click and choose Set the priority --- High. Try to play.
3) right-click on process --- please choose to Set affinity --- leave a tick only on ЦП0, ЦП1, ЦП2, ЦП3 --- OK (the Game is old, then this megapolice was not possible goes wrong allocation of resources). Try to play.
(On Win 7 paragraph 2 and 3 are similar).
4) the game set the resolution to 1920*1080. Also try to change the settings for full screen, window, without frame.
5) Try to put DirectX 9. In practice, sometimes DirectX Lite solved some problems (https://soft.sibnet.ru/soft/22984-directx-lite-10-6-8/get/). During installation, choose Windows Vista/7.
(No virus, installed okay - checked myself).

You have a system or even two installed on your SSD. Is there enough free space on the SSD? Or any other drive where the operating system is installed? For an SSD, the more free space, the better it works (25% must be free) - otherwise the system and actuators start to work worse. It is not so critical for the HDD, when the free space tends to zero is also bad for work in general.
Here's another thing to try:
1) Grow and make the paging file static. And make a swap file on the SSD. On Win7 and Win10 it is the same: My computer --- Properties --- on the left Additional system settings --- Advanced tab --- Settings button --- Advanced tab --- in the Virtual memory area, the Change button --- uncheck the Automatically select box paging file size --- Select SSD disk --- specify the initial and maximum size of 16384 MB (please note that there will be enough free space on the disk). On other drives, you can select "No paging file".
2) Remove the swap file altogether. The amount of RAM in 32GB should be enough for the stable operation of the computer.
Everything is the same as in the first paragraph, only for all disks you need to select "No paging file".

Tried everything you wrote. Nothing helped. There is enough space on the SSD (50%). Thanks for answering.
