IMHO: if places on the screw is enough and/or it is not a pity, then NMM is the easiest option. The minimum functionality, maximum comfort, a bunch of cons as a bonus, but the simplicity overrides. To replace it there is still a Vortex - enhanced functionality, profile support, etc buns. Bonus: the interface is overloaded, the extra trimmings, wild krivost of some elements. Still actively being updated/refined/rebuilt - some plus, some minus.
Both occupy a place in the archives of mods to the extracted files. If mods overtaken, the space occupied by the game is essentially doubled.

МО2 it. + don't litter the folder date of the game, and puts and reads fashion in a separate directory (configurable). Great functionality, but to start the game you need only under МО2, with a shortcut to mods will not see. With the vortex, by the way, the same story - mods in separate folders in the specified directory and run only from under the vortex (well, it still duplicates files if you download them first yourself somewhere and not directly with the nexus).

If you have any difficulties with NMM, I don't know - it is the simplest of the normal modes managers

Best replacement - manual. I have using NNM is about 8 years old, the basic, like CBBE, AAF, etc. Everything else by hand and know the problems. )
