To copy an existing font

Hi all, recently I came across an awesome font and really wanted to get it. He was in one video and I had no trouble finding the author. In his words, it is the author's font and share it they can't.
So, is there any program you can throw samples of the letters(pictures) and he will copy and generate a font?
Or if you know an easier way, please share.
He don't want to do and will not, because kosyachnik :D
