Guide: manually configuring the graphics and performance (XCOM 2)

This guide is intended for those already familiar with manually setting up the games using the file name. If you have never dealt with such fear about likely to break the game, it is best not to touch these settings.

How to access manual settings XCOM 2?
Open the file BaseEngine.ini under Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\Engine\Config. All changes made in a text editor, then save the file to make the configuration take effect.

To find the desired settings, use Ctrl+F or scroll down to [SystemSetting].

DynamicDecals=True
Set to False to get from 1 to 3 additional frames.

DynamicLights=True
Dynamic lighting. Not recommended to touch, although when set to False, allows you to squeeze 4-5 frames.

DynamicShadows=True
Dynamic shadows set to False will squeeze 6-9 frames, but the game looks not so good.

DynamicShadowsFromDominantLights=True
Dynamic shadows from the main sources. Setting to False allows to significantly raise the frame rate, but also affects the quality of the picture. The game will look flat.

LightEnvirTrue
Shadows from light sources in the environment. Make the game more beautiful than eating a couple of shots.

CompositeDynamicLights=True
If you have ancient iron, set to False, shutting off the light from stationary sources on the map. The game will look very flat with this option.

bAllowLightShafts=True
The effect of the light columns. Nice, but does not affect gameplay, but eats a couple of shots.

Distortion=True
Distortion. Most GPUs the last 3 years no problem working with them. Set to False only if you have a GPU running on coal.

DropParticleDistortion=False
Distortion from particles. Set it to False if hardly run on minimum settings

FogVolumes=True
Volumetric fog and smoke. False for 3-4 additional frames

AllowImageReflectiTrue
The quality of the reflections. Does not affect the picture, but eaten off a couple of shots.

AllowImageReflectiTrue
The shadows in the reflections. Is related to the paragraph above.

ParctileLODBias=
The level of detail of the particles. Very high values are recommended for performance. Low for picture quality. 2000000 for low quality.

DetailMode=
The value associated with the detail in the game. Low quality weak, but high performance

MaxMultiSamples=
Setting to 0 you will increase the frequency, but will lose the sharpness of some elements.

MaxWholeSceneDominantShadowResolution=
The resolution of shadows. 128 for weak shadows, but increase the frame rate.

ScreenPercentage=100.00
Affects the sharpness. Worth experimenting in the last turn, as it significantly affects the picture.

DirectiTrue
Better not to touch, since many objects can lose texture.

Your permission
Follow the path: \Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XComGame\Config DefaultEngine way.ini.

Find the values for ResX and ResY. Install on the desired.

Skip the logo and Intro
Open DefaultEngine.ini under \Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XComGame\Config. Hit Ctrl+F and find the section [FullScreenMovie]

+StartupMovies=X2_2KFXS_Logos
+StartupMovies=X2_Logo
+StartupMovies=UE3TechLogo_XC2
+StartupMovies=XC2_LegalScreen
+StartupMovies=Black

Delete the FIRST 4 points.

the branch they are from fallout took a shit release? count websta for sistemok I thought my 650 will fly on the ultra,the branch proposes ,at a high sometimes

lucky I have even on low fps drops with my one card it and is clear ,well the 550ti is already shit ,but the COP rules well and rushing баттла4 40-50 fps on high ,EA better game stamp in terms of optimization
