Cheat mobs (Dragon's Dogma)

My question is how to deal with the robbers with a sword and shield? You and your pawns they kill with 3 blows high, and to kill them you need 10 minutes to run around them and beat... the only problem with these robbers, the other ( archers, daggers) fly away quite easily. This is as it should be?
