The success of UT players in Quake (Unreal Tournament 2004)
Another topic about achievements :dIt argued that the explanatory quake players that go to UT, can show good results almost immediately, but the reverse situation, that a player from UT boldly broke into the nerd world Quake... for some reason it's not working. Indeed, personally I am not aware of examples of that comes from UT showed a high dueling class in any part of Quake. Many have tried, but th-t as it is not burnt out.
While there are examples of high skill in UT, which came from quake. For example, a Frenchman winz won ESWC for UT2004 in 2005. Would like to emphasise that this happened in the midst of the action for our beloved game, not in the cemetery, which gradually became UT2004.
Well, actually, what the hell, I started this thread in 2017, You ask.
Make a couple of hints purely for the intrigue: it has something to do with Quake Champions - the new part of Quake, which is now in the stage of open beta test. Also, due to the upcoming tournament for this game, with the declared prize-winning Fund of one million dollars. I'll explain now.
In General, our son Anton, who is known to many under the nickname F51, began to tear the aforementioned stereotype of the typical aquilera, which allegedly can not do anything in Quake. Walking confidently into qualifying Quake World Championship and has done that's such a difficult path:
Of the more than three hundred participants, the vast majority of which are the real quake players, Antoshka was in the TOP-16.
Next Sunday F51 will play against Pro-Quaker NOFEAR for the right of access to eurofinal, which, in turn, will be held in England in August.
Sunday night stream of the decisive match will be on the official channel of Quake Champions: https://www.twitch.tv/quakechampions
Let's support the baby, he should win this Sunday, and pack your bags for England!
PS: Maybe I'll tell you how to prepare for sectionals, will talk about his important today's match, where he, having 1 hp, made the last, decisive frag. Oh, spoiler.

On duty in the vault, hammering nails in the coffin stiffs - your favorite hobby, obviously
Slany way Antoshka...
Antoshka haven't won anything yet, one of the stronger players won. In fact, even the current selection is not passed, but the cold is already such a pretentious post freewheeling... And do not in this dead mother to his game to do without the propaganda of other games, especially from a moderator of the forum?

what is this nonsense?
Skills required in anrile accurate shooting + good position on the map.
these same skills are needed in quake, Yes the game is a little different, the weapons shoot differently, etc., but what is the problem to adapt?
you can't adapt to quake 3, there game is old and the level of play is so high that it is impossible to take, where the entry threshold is too large need. (the players experience is measured in tens of thousands of hours)
And in q5 aquilera and Quaker chances are equal, the game is essentially new. That Quaker need to learn that aquilera, there is no difference.
WOW!! 1 million dollars!
Thanks for the info, interesting to read. If you do not forget, be sure to take a look.

oops, it seems another project a Manager bent before it started :DDD
melik2k3
Oh well, I remembered half a year later, Malik. Quake Champions are really a lot of tournaments have passed since that time.
Have skupno archives: those qualifying F51 reached the top 16 and played against the Hungarian RAISY (NOFEAR) for eurofinal.
The video of the match on the official channel QC is:
If you are interested in it результатRAISY won 2-1 on the cards, and thus have been selected. Later he several dueling tournaments won at old school Pro-how quake players Cooller and others.
So F51 in the TOP 16 remained on those qualifying, and continued to get hand in this game.
Don't know how it is now at Antoshka obtained in QC, because not watching the game. It would be interesting to learn from him.
