Much that depend on a template character? (Divinity: Original Sin 2)

I'm new to the game and my question is,how much depends on the pattern of the character in the game?For example Feith(FEIN?) if I choose it will block some functions?or some NPCs or companions because of this be like something is different. generally that depends on the template character,if we can use the FEIN.

quests associated with it will even if its just to take in partners, sometimes during conversations will be a line with the signature FEIN, supposedly a personal option, and of the relationship to the character, some are afraid the other way around. The little things that are not practically important.
