I have almost the same video card as you do 940m she's slightly weaker than yours, I play in resolution 1280x720 all settings on low, only drawing herb set in the middle 30-45 fps and no problems I have, while you suffer on.
I usually by ear hacking ( also I do not see lock), it somehow adds complexity to the game, but then in Skyrim or in Dying Light locks click as nuts. =)
