Bug in quest (King's Bounty: Dark Side)

The quest for the retarder explosives.
Engineer at the shelter says that he needs a whistle retarder, and that he is the Egghead, but the kV is not updated and whistle in the sale appears.
PS. played all three, on different difficulties, always the same bug.
