This is a crazy theory.
DVI-D Dual Link allows you to squeeze 120 Hz in 1920 x 1080 and 2560 x 1440 60 Hz, and the DP in turn without problems squeezes 240 Hz in FullHD, 165 Hz at QuadHD, and 120 Hz at 4K. Everything rests on DVI-D

I have neither 2K nor 4K. FHD is, and is enough (also 60Hz). So, I does not matter what kind of cable to connect the monitor. Just curious to know different opinions (plus DP -- DVI-D is unreasonably expensive, so I decided to see if there is a sense to overpay)
