Early image characters (FlatOut 2)

Many saw the bonus video in FlatOut 2, which shows certain aspects of the game during its development. In addition to the concepts of tracks and physics tests, there is some early art of the characters - Katie Jackson, Jack Benton and Sofia Martinez.

Titles (and management) of the game you can see that in the character design Bugbear helped the company Ringtail Studios. So, until recently (now the site design was seriously updated and many are simply gone), the site of the Studio in the portfolio section you can find 3 images (one per character) with three choices of drivers, including the final, each. In addition to those already appearing in the bonus video variations of Kathy Jackson, the images can also be seen slightly different from the final version of Jason Walker, as well as a completely different form in comparison with the release of Frank Malkova.

Moreover, in the network there are quite a few release candidates of screenshots of FlatOut 2 in low resolution where you can see another version of Frank Malkova (see spoiler below), which is very different from both the concept and the final version (although to a much lesser extent).
In addition, the topic under consideration (actually there is a lot of interesting) screenshots carry one more feature - the names of the other drivers. The four characters have the names of the drivers from the first part. Thus Jason Walker during development was Paul McGuire, Cathy Jackson Cathy Taggert, ray Carter ray Smith and Sally Taylor sue O'Neill. Sofia Martinez also had a unique for both games filename Valerio VEGA.

If the developers have left at least the first four names, it would be an interesting reference to the first part, which in FlatOut 2 there is not so much.
