FUT CHAMPIONS (FIFA 17)

As far as I know in WL you can do to play well in the 1st and 2nd division, to remain in them or to increase or win the title. And if you do this at the weekend while there is another WL which I'm not qualified , that qualification will disappear or move on to the next WL?
