next to the gate, put the two guard towers and a couple of characters on the base here, as soon as the attack starts, and the gate will blow really fast, put it on pause and give the heroes the order to approach the gates. I have only so, but this does not prevent the bandits to teleport to the other end of the map and to demolish any works and shot a couple of settlers.
