NVIDIA GeForce 840M vs 940M. Need advice
Buy the laptop. Stopped on two variants, they are the same except the VC, but video cards are almost identical. But I would like to get even more powerful, the price is the same. But the opinion of my friends got separated, and I don't know, what none to choose. Need advice of knowledgeable people.
1) NVIDIA GeForce 840M 4 GB + Intel HD Graphics 5500
2) NVIDIA GeForce 940M (2 GB)
Some comrades tell me, as the video card is almost the same, take the one on 4GB fps will be more stable, to sink the game would be, and better will go. My friends, at a resolution of 1600x900, 4GB will not be used and even the laptops bandwidth the memory bus is such that 4 GB will not have enough time to be processed and this is more of a publicity stunt. Especially for tanks (I play only online games tanks, DotA, cs) which are the most demanding performance characteristics 2GB is more than enough. And since 940m newer and not much more powerful, it is still inclined to this opinion.
What would you recommend fumbling in these matters the forum?)
In both Intel's chip will stand. What DDR decisive factor of differences of the series.

DDR is the same. Yes, then at 940 to stay?
Me on another forum wrote :Settings for 4GB of VRAM, you still will not expose the chip is too slow.
And then the person recommends 840м, and understand what to take))
Do not listen to anyone who talks about the abundance of video memory. It is responsible, primarily, for the texture - and they only affect the memory. Resolution also memory consumption is little affected - I have many games to six gigabytes in 1366x768 eat.

Both cards chips are the same. A 940 is a bit higher frequency.
Here is what they write about 940m:

2015:
The Witcher 3 - 30-35 fps at medium-low
Just Cause 3 - 40 on medium
Assassin's Creed: Syndicate - 45 on low, antialiasing is

DOOM - 45 medium
Outlast 2 (Demo) - 50 on average

well then, think for yourself, but I will say again I'd picked the laptop with the GPU 840 M
When the resolution of a standard laptop 4 gig of VRAM is not so easy to load in full. But increased frequency will be addressed. My choice - 940.
I actually have now because of the poverty on the desktop 760 video card with 2 gigs of memory, and the problem I have only with a very unoptimized games. And this despite the fact that I play on 1920*1200.

1060 GTX 6Gb - bought and play in 1366x768. Download all six gigabytes easy, and you're on four.
Spoiler
Even Dying Light four and a half gigabytes eats, Mass Effect: Andromeda to four, Fallout 4 with textures up to six, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Dishonored 2 - all six.
