Constantly updated the Steam client

The first time I updated then not updated, and so will brains to soar.

I have the same, work is not affected. Can customer at incl. checks the list of games.

This is a normal behavior, every time you start steam it checks for updates (i.e., accesses the server for newer versions), if not - then just start otherwise proposes to update the client.
