In short the solution is downloaded x360ce_x64, threw in the game folder, launched it, chose it in the settings Game Settings > Xinput files > 64bit v1.3 it should definitely be done, as there the default 32 bit file and with it, the gamepad is not picked up. Why out of the box gamepad does not work for me remained a riddle, a problem only in this game.
