look at the type of memory in the old PC and the new: if different, then will not go.

if the pitch was DDR3 with a high probability is not so new and old DDR3 in something different there
if ддр2 then probably not. in an extreme case, will not work in 2 channel mode and frequency with the timings will be the worst memory
I had such Pitch case. the Mat fee old 2006 memory ддр2 2008-9 samsonovsky on 2GB wouldn't start at all and the new wound but there is such a poor memory was not needed
