I don't understand what gives the wolf +350 meters? (Far Cry: Primal)

Sobsno a question that +350 meters overview map?

That's when the perk choose +50 and +100 meters, a dark part of the map reveals a noticeably wider. And with these wolves, nothing changes. So what gives?
