The problem with running Virtual PC 2007 in full screen mode

When you start a virtual machine in Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 full-screen mode is reset exposed the screen resolution to 640x480. You have to run the VM in windowed mode and then switch to full screen mode. And before shutting down the virtual machine also has to move into windowed mode as the mode used during shutdown. How to make it so that when you start the virtual machine in full screen mode the screen resolution was reset to 640x480?
