Impressions of the game (Neversong)

The story of a boy named Pete who fell into a coma after an accident and coming out of it, learned that his friend Ren had disappeared.
Neversong made in the style of a two-dimensional indie-"metroidvania". The player explores a small town inhabited by other kids (all the adults had disappeared right after Pete went into a coma), opens up new opportunities (usually to obtain a new item allowing to penetrate into previously inaccessible parts locations) and fighting monsters. Unfortunately, the gameplay is too straightforward and simplistic, and the dialogue with other NPC's too monosyllabic. Battles are too easy even the bosses and ordinary enemies quickly bored. "Platform" item also came not the most convenient, though any stimulation, all the same, does not matter.
That's what more or less worked out, so this is the main story, first and foremost, the plot and the climax. Sort of a small "Gothic tales", although predictable, but it was a touching finale.
As a result, quite passable indie project, which despite a good plot idea can't stand any competition with the more successful bands in the genre.
