Radeon Software Crimson wine or epic fail ?
Yesterday, updating the driver for my Sapphire Tri-X R9 390X have noticed that the interface is Radeon Software Crimson, which was useless, has become even more loathsome. A year and a half (if not mistaken) as released Radeon Software Crimson. Not only is the interface worse than ever, so it's getting worse and worse in this regard (though the quality of drivers are not following this tradition and thanks for that).Radeon Software Crimson, in my opinion, quite pathetic in terms of convenience, appearance and functionality. Sorry that I abandoned ati catalyst control center, which was comfortable in all understandings, though occasionally fall, going somewhere, leaving the monitor a sort of black rectangle (Hello, Malevich!) for a couple seconds. Looking at nvidia control panel, which has not changed over the years, this morning decided to betray the ideals: I bought my first graphics card from nvidia. But since 1992, to this day, only use graphics cards from ATI , the first was good old ati Mach 8, if anyone remembers this.
It would be interesting to know the opinion of other owners of ATI Radeon Software Crimson:
Do you find this ugly AT anything useful?
The only useful thing I found there is button Update and Notification in their main menu, so to speak. Clicked on the sign, then on the updates and everything. Most hate is hidden in some submenu manual setting of fan speed. After every driver update you have to go there, to look for and set the value to maximum. Another small plus is a normal operating function of the frame rate, which can be put forcibly by hand. Some games do not have such settings (exactly like the possibility to manually edit yesnic), the frame rate which was limited to some 60 fps, you can cure from this disease and still squeeze 120 and 144 Hz, if only the monitor is allowed.
