Malak does not die according to the script. After rescuing, immediately send him to the waiting room and do not move him until the honey platform is built. detachment (I started building it right after he was rescued). After construction, an infirmary will become available to you, where you need to send Malak for treatment.
Note: if the infirmary is not available after building the platform, go to the main menu and back.
