This is not second-rate developed. It developed Halo,Forza and Gears. You want more examples.
Most anticipated PS3 game
Waiting for The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls, both missed.
I'm waiting for: TLOU, Beyond and God of War. Fortunately, they come out around the same time.

I want to also add:
1) Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 (the first one was great, and was one of the 2 best games of the genre)
