Nothing prevents to handle PhysX on AMD chips, with the exception of huangoshu marketing.

Many people mistakenly believe that physics adds some physics, and physics on AMD is allegedly no. In fact, physics is just a few exclusive graphical effects that are only available to NVIDIA cards and that artificially blocade on the AMD cards. This is all done for marketing. Moreover, these effects are only a few games that can be counted on the fingers (above, in principle all of them and have listed) and in any case you need quite a powerful graphics card.

the calculation of any debris in large quantities on the graphics card from NVIDIA.
in some case, no NVIDIA card can do the CPU but it needs to be incredibly good.
and so it is also a physics engine in itself. unreal of Angin 3 and 4 it kind use.
the usual POSIX basic physics of solids graphics card does not require
