The spell dragon's Breath (The Bard's Tale 4: Barrows Deep)

On YouTube one in the passage, the magician stands in the second row, the spell dragon's Breath is not available
moves the mage in the first row and this spell becomes active. I do not understand how? I have not
it turns out, can someone explain.
