Activation key. (Heroes of Might and Magic 5)

Problem :
Have a licensed copy of the game, but I lost the box of the disc, the game I have installed but I want to activate it in Uplai or Steam, but since the activation key was in a box ,then the key I have.
Question :
Is it possible kaknau to be subverted and find the key in the game files ?

As far as I remember, the key is only needed for installation. The Internet is full of them.
