Exp Knots Doesn't Go (Death Stranding)

At some point the experience (stars) stop going or start to go extremely slowly. Like at this point it is better to score and not to drain them load and go on the plot, until the experience is normal? It's a pity to give the cargo of 30 points in the vault for the floor of the star. It's a rofl.
