The question of NVIDIA Corporation, or rather about the production of their graphics cards.

The question is: I understand correctly that NVIDIA is a purely technological company, and manufacturing is not part of it?

No. It's a little more complicated than that. Enter the name of the company and on the site of Vicky less everything is clear painted.
The company is more famous due to the development (production) of chips for Video cards (and ready-made Video cards). But that's not the only thing they live for.

It always seemed strange that reference cards from AMD and Nvidia always had an eerie single cooling. With the same success, Intel could not produce the CPU itself, but give licenses to Chinese basements.

To have its own production you need to keep about 80% of the processor market.
