The wolf's rune will be given by Ratch at the end of the quest to Save the Druid.
Around the statue are four pedestals - to solve the riddle, you must first approach the pedestal, which is to the right of the stone wolf (if you face his face). Activate the pedestal, put the wolf's rune in it and click "Combine." And then activate the pedestal that you have just placed the rune into - it should be lit up with a blue glow.
Then, in the same way, activate the other three pedestals, moving from one to the other counterclockwise.
