Training quests (Horizon: Zero Dawn)

How to perform these quests,already on a bunch of enemies tried,not executed.

Tie mid-size machines

Beat your opponents with metal shells

It doesn't count to kill your enemies with bombs either.
Maybe there's some subtlety.

The counter counts only when the quest is active.
And the rattlesnake and sling of karha - it is necessary to do in public, on cars is not counted.
