How to park the ship? (Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag)

When you come to the island, the pier should have a light emerald glow and a vertical column to glow. Swim right into it and above Edward's head (ridiculously) there will be an inscription, "Moor" and write that button to press. Keep it a little clamped and the ship will automatically sail.
Sometimes, yes, it happens, after mooring you need to jump in the shallow water, but such islets are few, and the piers themselves are not everywhere, on the reef islands they do not exist.
