How do the sets of armor work? (Assassin's Creed: Valhalla)

In the skill tree there are improvements in the set of armor, for example - the crow's seta in different branches is a buffed on the 1 armor / 2 crit/-0.5 weight, etc., but in the statistics of the character (inventory tab) nothing changes. If you take some global buff, it really adds to the stats. Equipment is all of the crow's set, except for the family axe.

I checked all the rules. Here is dressed on me armor bear and there indicators for example armor 15 - I go to skills and apply the improvement of the bear - on the armor of the bear armor already 16 - so everything works.
