Swap file

I have the FX-8300, RX 570 4gb, 12gb of RAM, SSD at 480 gb and HDD at 1 tb.
How much do I need to put a swap file on and on which disk?

The experiential rule of the P.P.A. is to swap a swap file twice as much as a ase and to the fastest diss. (or on which Vinda) some programs will use their cache file in the drive where the user and vinda additionally.

How much will this affect the SSD?

It affects less than automatic maintenance (Defragmentation) and a bunch of other stuff (Windy Services). In your, and in another case, no one will specifically say about the time and speed of wear. As a percentage, health can be monitored in different diagnostic programs.
But the first thing is to optimize the system for the SDS.
Well, to score on everything if the system is not a problem and errors in games because of lack of memory.
File swap is not the worst thing for the SSD. We are talking about the latest versions of Windows 10.
I probably heard about the different resources of the SSD and the technology of memory cells. Oddly enough, in the budget SSD will die not memory because of the developed resource, and the controller. And it will not die at the end of the cell resource.
There are probably no exact statistics.

I've long since disabled anything that might affect SSD and only put special builds of Windows 10 for games. I, if you play on high-ultra settings, for a very long time the world loads and there are lags because of the swap file, which stands on the railway.

it is clear that this will somehow accelerate the departure of the world in another but how quickly - to say it is difficult to say it depends on the disk itself and how and for what it will be used. but the pattern is more memory and more swap file on the idea of less wear. A smaller file for example 300gb and less posture is faster than wear. games both new and old yuza this file is willing. I've never had a good time, so in practice I don't know how it is.

... the world is loaded and there are lags because of the swap file, which stands on the railway.
the hard drive may have such a problem that if inactive it is parked. then when he has something to spin - he unwind and the game can literally hang for a second or two. but it's a single problem. they also wrote that there's about 5 that the lags begin. Lags do start from a swap file but after a few many hours. At the time of the frieze there is a rewrite of something in the area of 150-300m mb about once every 30 minutes. Also rewrite small portions but it does not affect performance. if the lagodrome continues constantly and it is connected for example with the turn of the camera it is not a swap file with a high probability.

I apologize for the indiscreet question, but where does the conclusions come from that lags because of the swap file? It's clear that "ficus" is laying. For the purity of the experiment - put a 24GB swap file on the "C" (To check).
My guess is the lags will stay.
And the world is loaded for a long time because of the HDD-mounted game. With the SSD will load many times faster and the swap file has nothing to do with it.
If the wind is without the trebuchy, then 12 GB should be enough for gaming in the vast majority of games (I have not yet met that the game ate in the tuned system more than 12GB). There are of course guys who have Winda in a mere more than 4 GB eats, but these are still individuals.

I have less virtual memory than physical memory. If it is fully filled, if without a swap file run the game on ultra settings, it will fly out. For example, GTA Online is capable of using 20GB of RAM.

Pardon, did not notice that the snare 570 by 4 GB. To make everything smooth, you need to limit the memory of the roar no more than 4GB (the game settings put on a lesser quality: Textures, shadows, smoothing). When the 4GB game sucks starts not from the best speed of the operation. It is unlikely that Rama is worth a set of 2/4GB(Two-channel) with a normal frequency (minimum 1866). The pebble itself in the form of a 8300 ficus loves to frisize in view of architectural features.
The problem is complex (systemic) and in this case all the manimulations with the swap file will do little.
That E. chain of sequential data transmission (little video memory, crappy operative and its little, etc.) on each link has a bottleneck.
Even if you add operations, disperse the ficus, change the graphics card-PROBLEM ALL WILL, because the platform is not worth the attention of the shakers nested in it.

I don't have a problem with it. I just gave an example of a game that uses RAM a lot. In Mafia DE, I could easily play the ultras, but because of the virtual memory of the game, I have to put a swap file. For some reason, when it is not, everything is loaded quickly, the game is smooth, and then, due to lack of virtual memory, the game crashes out.

I understand that my system is not worthy of existence (I think I already say this in the third discussion), but I do not yet have the opportunity to change it. I just want to make sure that my games don't fly out and it's not the fault of the lack of virtual memory that I see through MEM Reduct.

You don't have enough RAM because of the small number of video memory. Reduce the settings of the game to get into 4GB of video memory and help.
It's a pity that everything has to be repeated.
The game's settings try medium, should fit into 4GB of video memory.
I don't want to offend you, no. I write as objectively as possible.
Just need to forget about ultra graphics settings. This Video card model is not for these settings.

Wait, how many memory bares do you have and in what configuration? Don't confuse everyone with these screens.
If 12GB is a normal set of 4GB. That's one thing. If as horrible (without a two-channel) with a frequency of 1333mhz, then this is different.
And the behavior of the am3 platform depends very much on the quality of the RAM.
Sometimes you need to (myself) understand the iron and its algorithms work. Otherwise...

8/4, only two slots on the motherboard.

It sucks, it sucks that one bar is 4, the other is 8.
I'm sorry, I probably can't help you. He gave only food for thought.

The size of the swap file on the system's choice is ssd and everything will be fine. And it's even better when the game is set on the second ssd.
