How do I sell items? (Dark Souls)

I did not find an answer in the discussions, I decided to create a topic. I use an ax, and in my inventory there is a club, a sword, and some other crap. Can anyone push this loot or just throw it away? I play offline.

You cannot sell, but after you ring both bells in the temple of fire, a monster with a long neck appears, trash can be fed to him for souls, but for now put unnecessary things in a bottomless box so as not to interfere when changing equipment.
