Need advice when choosing a processor
I want to update the processor, now my systems are as follows:Motherboard - MSI P67A-C43 (MS-7673)
Processor - QuadCore Intel Core i5-2300, 2900 MHz (29 x 100)
Video - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (2 GB)
RAM - 2x 4 gig each Crucial BLT4G3D1608DT1TX0. [TRIAL VERSION]
Data storage - ST2000DL003-9VT166 ATA Device (2 TB, 5900 RPM, SATA-III) You
need a processor up to 15 tr., Help to make a choice
Starova, you have everything.
The socket on the motherboard is 1155, which means only Sandy / Ivy Bridge processes will work. In the trailer, there is enough for i7, on Yandex it costs 16.
VK is not particularly in the same new deus ex you can not play on it.
Again, does it make sense to put tanga into the old block? Wouldn't it be better to take a new one.
LeopoldoMendoza The
new unit will be a little expensive, especially at the present time, all electronics are expensive

Here you can see what xeons this motherboard supports.
You can pick up a xeon that will be at or better than the overclocked 3770k

The best option as I understand it (Intel Xeon E3-1230V2) will it suit me? I also wanted to know about the power supply unit, I have enough capacity for 450w or do I need to buy it?

I haven't tried it on this system, I can't guarantee. This processor has more versions. Read the reviews, are there any alternatives, any points with compatibility. I think everything should work with 450 watts.
If you can save up to 40k, then save up and take a new mother with an operative, under the i7-6700K. This is a real profit though. Although the MB block will also need a new one, but not a fact. 450 is not enough.

would not be bad, but I don't want to spend too much money and chase super performance, if you take a new mother, a new percentage, a new block with RAM, it's all too expensive
I don’t see any alternatives except how to update the platform that processor and motherboard for something newer and more productive. even if it doesn't meet the price.

You just don't need to advise if you don't understand. The i7-6700K with overclocking does not even gain 900 points in signbench. And my xeon e5645 which costs 40-60 dollars is gaining. And this is a percentage of 2010 on socket 1366. Right there, you can put a xeon on its platform, which will be even better than what you recommend! Considering the difference in cost, it will be a great purchase!

for xeons needs their support from the motherboard,
I just know that they are officially supported by server and half-door solutions
even in a large assortment of Asrok boards for some reason an inscription appeared that such cpu are supported.
Considering that xeon is usually the same processor as a certain i7 with a locked multiplier and sometimes with lower frequencies, I see no reason to consider them as an alternative to some i7 4770, since the price is approximately comparable and there are many nebulae and white pitch spots.

Many motherboards support xeons. Even socket 775 allowed it. Some 775 motherboards need to flash an alternative BIOS and everything will work. Things are even better now with compatibility. Since xeons are ahead of ordinary prots for several years, so the choice for an upgrade is only xeon.
